Hope for Abused Teens

A person consists of body, mind, and spirit. When abuse happens, the whole person is affected. The body has physical damage, the mind has psychological damage, and the spirit is broken. To have complete healing a person must work to heal his or her whole self. Many abuse victims turn away from God and blame Him instead of looking to Him for healing. It is only through knowing God's love and grace that a person's broken spirit can be healed and a person is no longer a victim but a survivor.

There is one God who is the creator of heaven and earth. God sent His only son Jesus Christ to earth as a sinless man. Christ died and was resurrected from the dead in order for humans to be forgiven of their sins. When we believe this and confess our sins we receive forgiveness. It is only in knowing Christ that we are able to have a relationship with God the Father. Christ dwells in believers through the Holy Spirit. He sent the Holy Spirit to all believers to teach and guide them in doing God’s will.
