Every young person deserves to understand what healthy relationships, appropriate boundaries, and safe interactions look like—whether or not they have ever experienced abuse.
Through age-appropriate education, OneTear Ministry helps all youth understand

- where to turn for help
For youth who may already be experiencing abuse, this education can provide language, understanding, and the courage to speak.
We educate and bring awareness to all youth who attend our talks—so that all kids, whether directly affected or not, gain understanding, empathy, and the tools to support each other and protect themselves.
Education is also for the adults who work and volunteer with youth, as well as adult education classes, women's and men's groups, and community groups who are looking for education about child abuse.
Understanding Adverse Childhood Experiences (ACEs) is extremely important for every person. ACEs explain the lifelong effects of childhood abuse. Abuse affects every aspect of a person's life including physical, psychological, social, health, emotional, financial, work, and relationships.
Thousands of adults have never told anyone, or gotten help for, abuse they dealt with as a child. ACEs is very eye-opening, it helps make sense of a lot of the problems people have.
